System
The brand, in public
Everything needed to use the Eyenus identity correctly — construction, color, type, voice, and the files themselves.
The mark
An eye built from a leaf-arc and a radiant sun
A leaf-like arc, open on the left where the light enters, cradling a radiant sun toward center-right — eight primary rays and eight finer secondary rays, a lens-flare cross on the horizontal light axis, and a bright-to-dark green gradient along the sweep (ADR-0011). The 2005 eye, twenty-five years wiser, now luminous.
| Variant | Preview | Use | Minimum size |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary mark | Default identity, standalone | 32 px height (below that, the ray/flare detail collapses; prefer the monogram at smaller sizes) · 10 mm width in print | |
| Horizontal lockup | Headers, partner contexts, wide formats | 96 px width | |
| Vertical lockup | Centered/stacked contexts, covers | 80 px height | |
| Wordmark | When the mark is already present | 72 px width | |
| Monogram | Avatars, watermarks, small square contexts — leaf arc cradling the sun | 16 px |
Construction and clear space
The sun doctrine
Seeing versus looking: a present sun is identity at rest; its absence, the leaf rotating alone, is the instrument searching (ADR-0011, succeeding the pupil doctrine).
Seeing
Sun present. Every static identity use: mark, monogram, favicon, app icon.
Looking
Sun absent. Exists only in motion, as the loading indicator — never shipped static.
A present sun means the instrument sees; its absence, in motion, means it is searching (docs/adr/0011-luminous-mark.md, succeeding docs/adr/0006-pupil-doctrine.md). The two states are one asset: the reveal animation ends where the mark begins. See it animate at /playground.
Misuse
Do
- Use the generated SVG masters exactly as exported — never redrawn.
- Keep the sun present, centered in the leaf’s cradle, on every static identity use.
- Keep the horizontal flare axis fixed on every use.
- Apply only the two documented colorways (signal-on-dark, green-on-light) or the mono exception.
- Respect the 1× sun-diameter clear space measured from ink bounds, with nothing else inside it.
Don’t
- Removing or detaching the sun from the leaf-arc (the sun is core identity, not a removable accent — ADR-0011).
- Adding or removing rays — the ray count (8 primary + 8 secondary) is fixed geometry, not decoration to taste.
- Rendering glow via CSS/SVG filters (feGaussianBlur or similar) — glow is pre-baked gradient/duplicate-path data only (ADR-0013).
- Rotating the mark — the horizontal flare axis is identity (ADR-0011), replacing the retired 45° aperture orientation.
- Closing the leaf’s left opening, or "completing" it into a ring.
- Shipping the bare leaf (no sun) as static identity — that form is reserved, in motion, for the loading indicator (ADR-0011).
- Stretching, skewing, or altering the almond ratio.
- Re-coloring outside the two documented colorways plus the mono exception.
- Pairing the mark with the old "Solutions" descriptor or any tagline inside the clear space.
- Outlining filled forms or filling the wordmark’s stroke skeletons.
- Recreating the mark by eye — geometry comes from the generator, always.
The signal
The green, re-anchored and luminous
The identity green re-anchors to a brighter, more saturated #7CFF00 (ADR-0012) — the pixel-measured 2005 lime is preserved exactly, on record as color.heritage.lime, not deleted.
color.brand.signal = #7cff00
The luminous re-anchor (ADR-0012): the identity green moved from the measured 2005 lime to this brighter, more saturated anchor under the founder’s directive. Reserved for the mark and identity accents on dark surfaces — never body text, never a background, never on light surfaces (there it becomes color.green.600).
The 2005 measurement is preserved, not deleted: color.heritage.lime = #76e00e — a provenance token pointing at the immutable HERITAGE.md sample; nothing in the v3 mark or UI consumes it directly.
color.green
color.graphite
color.solar
A second hue, scoped to the mark and the Arc: the sun is inside the mark itself (ADR-0011), so solar travels wherever identity does — nav, favicon, footer — plus Arc storytelling. The boundary still holds: never a UI color, never text, never a state, never decoration outside the mark or the Arc.

Proportion law
~80% graphite, ~15% off-white/text, ~5% green. Green is a signal, not a paint — when everything is green, nothing is seen.

Voice
An instrument maker explaining an instrument
Exact, calm, and quietly certain. The voice never performs enthusiasm; it earns trust by being right and being brief.
Calm
calm ↔ urgent
90% calm. Urgency appears only in incident/safety copy.
Precise
precise ↔ evocative
75% precise. Evocation is allowed one sentence per surface, and it must be earned by the precision around it.
Warm
warm ↔ formal
60% warm. Plain human words, no corporate distance — but never chummy, never jokes at the reader’s expense.
| Say | Don’t say | Why |
|---|---|---|
| instrument, system, platform | solution | Retired with the 2005 descriptor |
| build, make, engineer | craft, curate | Instrument maker, not boutique |
| see, understand, illuminate | leverage, unlock, empower | Arc vocabulary over MBA vocabulary |
| the five lights, the arc | steps, stages, phases (of the arc) | The arc has five states and four transitions |
| precise, measured | cutting-edge, state-of-the-art | Claims, not postures |
| people, engineers, teams | users (in marketing), stakeholders | Human words for humans |
| shows its work | AI-powered magic | Pillar 5: light reveals |
| begins, ships, is available | launches 🚀, drops | Calm is confidence |
Iconography
A stroke system, not a second logo
Twelve glyphs carrying the mark’s geometric-humanist language — round terminals, mathematical construction — into functional UI.
Motion
The reveal and the loop
The brand’s one theatrical entrance, and the instrument reading that precedes it. Play both at /motion.
