Nothing retconned: the 2005 original is shown exactly as it was made. Genesis is a correction of geometry and rendering style, not a rewrite of history.

Every heritage color below was pixel-sampled from the original wallpaper files, not chosen from memory. The identity green in the current token system derives mathematically from the first swatch (docs/adr/0003-color-derivation.md).

What changed, what didn't
The DNA ledger
The charter’s instruction was to extract DNA, not recreate the mark. Five elements survived the transition; three did not.
Kept
- The eye silhouette — an open, asymmetric almond formed by sweeping curves; openness is the signature, now carried by the leaf-arc’s LEFT opening rather than the retired 60°-at-45° iris notch (ADR-0011).
- A single dominant focal object at the mark’s center — the iris succeeded by the sun core, the instrument’s new seeing-signal (ADR-0011, succeeding ADR-0006’s pupil doctrine).
- Green as the identity color — re-anchored from the measured #76E00E to the luminous #7CFF00 (ADR-0012); the 2005 measurement is preserved, not discarded, as color.heritage.lime.
- Motion implied in stillness — the heritage strokes swept; the leaf-arc and sun’s radial construction keep the sense of orbit.
- Gradients as light, not gloss — ADR-0013 narrows (does not reverse) ADR-0002’s retirement: the sun’s glow and the leaf’s sweep gradient are light phenomena, readmitted; specular/bevel/material-style gloss stays retired.
Retired
- The flat iris ring, comet-profile lids, and 60°-aperture-at-45° construction (ADR-0004, ADR-0011) — superseded by the leaf-arc + sun; the geometry is archived, not deleted (archive/logo-v2/).
- The pupil doctrine’s literal pupil (ADR-0006) — succeeded by the sun core; "sun present = seeing" replaces "pupil present = seeing" under the same semantic rule (ADR-0011).
- Specular highlights, bevels, and material-style dimensional rendering as decoration (ADR-0002’s gloss retirement, narrowed but not reversed by ADR-0013).
- The squared extended wordmark and the "Solutions" descriptor (Eyenus is no longer a services firm; the name stands alone).
- Background gradients as brand surfaces (replaced by disciplined graphite/off-white from tokens; unaffected by ADR-0013, which scopes gradient readmission to the mark’s own light phenomena).
